Finishing a manuscript is a major milestone, but it is not the same thing as finishing a book for publication. Mastermind's Shadow now exists as a complete Book Three manuscript, and its cover has been revealed, but the work between a completed draft and a finished release still matters.
This stage is about patience and precision. The manuscript needs its editorial passes, continuity checks, final corrections, formatting, and publication preparation before it is ready to reach readers. Rushing those steps would not serve the story or the people who have followed the crew this far.
Without giving away what waits inside, Book Three moves into Dustfall, where altered ledgers, missing prisoners, and quiet movements point toward The Shroud. The crew is no longer dealing with isolated signs of control. The absences themselves begin to form a design, and following that design carries them deeper into danger.
The finished cover reflects that darker descent while keeping its answers out of sight. It marks the manuscript's progress and gives Book Three its place beside the first two volumes, even though its publication date has not yet been announced.
Future dispatches will share meaningful progress as preparation continues. Until then, Mastermind's Shadow remains complete, carefully in development, and one step closer to joining the published saga.
